In the promotion of the people’s health, it is crucial to keep a record of the patients. The data is helpful in tracking the success of the measurers put to fight the various diseases. The project was triggered by the frequent media reports on increased number of patients seeking health care services. The research data was sourced from the District Health Information System (DHIS). The records help in deciding the actions to be taken when there is need to improve the health situation of a given locality. Initiatives such as public awareness may be considered where the records show a rise in infections such as in Malaria whose spread can be controlled through collective responsibility. This project will focus on health records from Nyeri collected in a period of five years between 2013 and 2017. The data shows failures and the successes in the fight against various diseases. It also shows the percentage of women undergoing safe delivery and the percentage of pregnant women going for pre-natal clinic visits. The data gives a picture of the health situation in the county and gives recommendation on the steps to take to improve the health status in the county. It is our hope that the County Government of Nyeri will implement the recommendations of the report and continually endeavor to improve service delivery in the health facilities.
